When you’re soldering you can notice smoke rising from the solder as the iron melts the metal, as you might have guessed this is not at all good for you or your lungs. There already exists several DIY filtration systems on the internet, but these may only be about 5% effective at reducing the pollutants produced when soldering [1].

Today I’m showing you how I solved the super annoying problem of automating my lights, when it’s not possible to change out the light switch or switch to smart bulbs. The solution was to make a roboticized cover which makes my dumb light switch a lot smarter!

In this project I’m showing you how I made my own art robot. The whole concept is to illustrate how we as humans can work together and collaborate with machines and robots to create something new. Both the art style and ethos of the project was inspired by the great pop art artist Andy Warhol.

I’ve always been fascinated by both interesting ways of telling the time and binary code. It’s amazing the amount of information can be stored in simple ON/OFF signals. I knew I wanted a new wrist watch so why not combine binary code with a wrist watch, and do it as an awesome DIY project?
This is the kind of idea that lodged itself in the back of my mind. Always present and constantly evolving until it reached a saturation point where the project had to be done!
